The U.S. Parachute Association (USPA), Australian Parachute Federation, British Skydiving and Canadian Sport Parachuting Association announce the third annual World Skydiving Day, taking place on Saturday, July 11, 2026. This global celebration invites first-time jumpers and experienced skydivers alike to celebrate the sport while aiming to break the world record set in 2024 for the most skydives completed during a single day worldwide: 30,351 jumps across 51 countries.
“What makes World Skydiving Day so special is that anyone anywhere can be part of it and help attempt a world record for the most reported skydives in a single day,” said USPA Executive Director Albert Berchtold. “This is an opportunity to join a global celebration of the sport and be part of something truly unforgettable. We look forward to uniting skydivers across continents to break participation records and celebrate the sport in unison.”
On the second annual World Skydiving Day in 2025, 26,718 skydives were completed and officially reported across the globe. Skydivers around the world also made formations in the shape of the number two in the sky to celebrate the second annual event.
World Skydiving Day participants can jump at one of hundreds of skydiving centers across the world. Those interested can visit USPA’s locations page to find a nearby drop zone. Owners of skydiving centers who want to participate can fill out this form.
To be counted in the 2026 World Skydiving Day record, participants must submit proof of their skydive at worldskydivingday.com/getcounted. Skydivers can jump as many times as they want, with each jump counting toward the record. Those who take part can order a personalized certificate commemorating their role in this historic event.
