BOXBOROUGH, MA, UNITED STATES, August 26, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Boston Estate Planning Council (BEPC), Greater Boston’s leading professional organization for estate and wealth planning professionals, received the prestigious Council of Excellence designation from the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils (NAEPC) through the Leonard H. Neiman and Walter Lee Davis, Jr. Council of Excellence Award program. The honor recognizes affiliated councils that demonstrate exceptional achievement in providing meaningful value, engagement, and service to their members.
Councils selected for the Council of Excellence distinction reflect NAEPC’s highest standards for member service and leadership. Their efforts help strengthen the work of estate planning professionals, support collaboration across disciplines, and advance the value of comprehensive estate planning within the broader community.
The award will be formally presented during a special evening reception on November 5, 2026, at NAEPC’s Regional Leadership Conference in Chicago, IL.
On receiving the award, BEPC President Katherine M. Sheehan noted, “receiving the Council of Excellence designation again in 2026 is a meaningful affirmation of BEPC’s continued commitment to serving estate planning professionals across Greater Boston. This recognition reflects the energy, expertise, and generosity of our members, whose collaboration advances our profession and strengthens the communities we serve. We are grateful to NAEPC for this honor and proud to continue building on BEPC’s long tradition of excellence.”
The Council of Excellence Award is named in honor of Leonard H. Neiman and Walter Lee Davis, Jr., whose service helped strengthen the relationship between NAEPC and its affiliated councils. Davis, NAEPC president in 2008, was instrumental in establishing the Council Relations Committee, while Neiman served on the board for more than fifteen years and was deeply committed to expanding council engagement nationwide.
